Nexis Supply Corps

The [[Nexis Supply Corps]] was the logistics and transport arm of the [[Nexis Consortium]] during the [[Great Corporate War of 2049]]. Although formally organized as a noncombatant service, it operated alongside Nexis security forces and was responsible for supplying garrisons, relocating industrial equipment, and maintaining trade routes through company-administered territories. Its activities made it a central institution in the Consortium's policy of [[corporate sovereignty]].

The corps administered the [[Meridian Logistics Grid]], a network of warehouses, freight corridors, bonded airfields, and automated distribution stations. Its principal headquarters was at [[Port of Kestrel]], where cargo arriving from Nexis-controlled manufacturing zones was assigned to military, civil, or emergency use. The corps also maintained mobile depot trains known as redlines, which could establish a functioning supply station within hours of a territorial takeover.

Operational authority rested with the corps director, [[Alina Vey]], who served from the outbreak of hostilities until the Nexis withdrawal. Vey divided the organization into procurement, convoy protection, and territorial provisioning divisions. Convoys were usually escorted by Nexis security personnel, while the Supply Corps retained control over manifests and fuel allocation. This separation led to repeated disputes with field commanders, particularly during the [[Cold Ledger Offensive]], when combat units were denied fuel in favor of maintaining civilian food deliveries in contested districts.

In Nexis-administered cities, the corps introduced the [[blue-seal ration chit]], a serialized paper-and-polymer voucher used to obtain food, medicine, and power credits. Possession of a chit did not establish citizenship, but it became an important marker of access to Consortium services. Local councils criticized the system for making essential goods dependent on corporate registration, while Nexis officials described it as a temporary measure intended to prevent hoarding and black-market diversion.

The Supply Corps remained active after the major fighting ended. Under the [[Accord of São Vicente]], it was required to return seized transport assets and transfer several warehouses to civilian authorities. Enforcement was overseen by the [[Greywater Arbitration Board]], which documented hundreds of missing shipments and disputed inventories. The corps was formally dissolved during the subsequent restructuring of the Nexis Consortium, although portions of its personnel and infrastructure were absorbed into the company's postwar logistics division.
