The Crimson Ridge Sanctuary Incident was a wildlife safety containment breach that occurred on June 12, 2024, at the Crimson Ridge Megafauna Zone in the Cascades Isolate Sector 4 (page does not exist) of Oregon (page does not exist). The incident began when a local power-grid failure disabled the low-frequency acoustic deterrent fences along the sanctuary’s northern perimeter. A family of five tourists was stranded for approximately 14 hours while resident relict theropods expanded into areas normally excluded from their territories.
Background
Following the 19th-century discovery of surviving non-avian dinosaur populations in isolated geographical basins, access to Megafauna Isolates (page does not exist) was restricted by national and regional authorities. During the early 21st century, selected peripheral areas were converted into ecotourism reserves.
